At a grand ceremony held in Male, the capital of the Maldives, our company donated 200 special national flags to this beautiful island country, bringing a made-in-China solution to this country that suffers from the marine climate. This heartwarming donation action stems from a worrying phenomenon discovered by our technical team during the investigation: in this country composed of thousands of coral islands, the national flags hung by government agencies and schools often fade and break in just a few months, making it difficult to maintain a solemn image in the harsh marine environment.
In order to overcome this problem, we formed a special R&D team. After repeated experiments and innovations, we finally developed a special national flag that can withstand strong winds, salt spray and strong ultraviolet rays. These national flags use advanced materials and processes to ensure that they can maintain bright colors and intact shapes for a long time under the unique climatic conditions of the Maldives. At the donation ceremony, 200 brand new national flags were neatly arranged, 30 of which were immediately sent to important places such as the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for hanging, and the remaining 170 were distributed to public schools in 17 atolls across the country.
The Minister of Education of Maldives said emotionally at the handover ceremony that these special national flags not only solved the practical problems that had plagued them for a long time, but more importantly, they allowed the children of Maldives to grow up under the intact national flag, which has far-reaching significance for cultivating the national identity of young people. What makes us even more gratified is that this batch of national flags still maintained a 98% intact rate in the inspection after six months of use, far exceeding the service life of ordinary national flags. This project also led to the establishment of a “national flag guard” in local schools and was selected as one of the “Top Ten Cases of China-South Asia People-to-People Connection in 2023”.
This donation action not only demonstrated the technological innovation capabilities of Chinese companies, but also reflected our sincere willingness to fulfill our social responsibilities. A national flag that can fly for a long time is the most vivid business card of a country. In the future, we will continue to use professionalism and sincerity to make the flags made in China shine all over the world and convey friendship and respect.
